Convert Legacy Database

Overview

The Convert Database tool converts legacy iPool databases from Microsoft Access format (.mdb or .accdb) to the SQLite format (.db) used by iEnergy Suite. For the full reference, see Convert Database.

What It Is

The tool offers three conversion modes: Single file (one .mdb or .accdb → one .db, available on desktop and web), Multiple files (Whole folder) (batch conversion of a folder, desktop only), and Regional to Zonal (restructures an existing regional SQLite database into zonal format, desktop only). You do not need to have a database open to run a conversion.

When to Use It

Use Convert Database when you receive a legacy iPool database in Microsoft Access format that needs to be opened in iEnergy Suite, or when you need a zonal-format database from an existing regional .db file. After conversion, open the resulting .db file with Open Database in the Database Editor tab.
